Name: Tim Weig
Hometown: Snohomish, WA  /  Long Beach, CA
Date of Birth: 4/17/1978

Basic info:
The bottome line is that I truly enjoy racing and riding motorcycles. The thought of racing consumes nearly all of my thoughts, time, and money.  While I certainly wish I could quit my day job and race motorcycles full time as a career, that’s just not reality. I have a bachelor of science degree from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University  and work as a contracted engineer in the aerospace industry. I recently relocated to sunny Southern California from Seattle, WA. I am 34 years old and have a wonderful dog named Dakota. I enjoy a ton of sports & hobbies including: fishing, hiking, biking, traveling, comedy shows, etc… I am a Christian and strive to be a good & honest person in all areas of my life. Integrity and honesty are characteristics that I make a core part of my life. I have some great friends and an awesome family that are extremely supportive of me, without them this journey would not be easy or nearly as much fun. I have traveled and lived in many places and really love my life!

What sets me apart from the competition:
I have grown exponentially as a racer since my first race 4 years ago and recently won both the 2012 Lucas Oils WERA West Lightweight Superbike and Superstock championships. I work and train hard each day to become a better racer, and because of this there is no doubt that I will continue to be a fierce competitor in the motorcycle racing world for a long time.
I am a very social person and would not race if I couldn’t build friendships along the way with my competitors, the fans, and all of the support personnel that are involved in the motorcycle racing world. When my helmet is off, I am always looking for a joke to crack or some other way to make people laugh and have a great time. Life has been very good to me and I am blessed to have the opportunity to be a racer.
I strive to do my best in every race and work hard to promote my sponsors by showcasing their products in a very positive manner.

Goals:
Aside from continuing to win races and progressively moving upward in this sport, I want to always be a positive influence on those around me while successfully promoting the sponsors that are supporting me. I feel that the combination of these items will build long term successful relationships and leave a great legacy behind me.

Random Fact about me:
I served in the U.S. Air Force for 8 years and loved every moment of it. I am a very patriotic person and you won’t find me at a race track without the U.S. flag proudly being displayed in my race pits.
